I am a Shanghai based illustrator who graduated from Edinburgh College of Art.

Most of my works feature stylish and elegant Asian women together with nature scene. I like to use simple layout, soft color palettes and papery textures to create a vintage vibe in this way I try to create a subtle mood and tranquil atmosphere.

 The drawing process is sometimes like doing a ‘collage’ to me. I like to collect any materials that draw my attention in life, be it the flowers down the street, textures of the walls or colors of the sky, just imagine how those things could become in my works. By rearranging or randomly putting things together, it is usually hard to give prediction on how the final outcome would be. Most of the time it would totally go against with the original plan but I see them as happy ‘accidents’. Women，especially oriental women is the main theme of my works，this is largely due to the qualities of them which strongly appeal to me, the delicacy, elegance, strength and confidence and their close connection with nature. It almost comes naturally that I want to depict women figures.
